While Rain isn’t a Shiba, she did find herself in my sister’s animal rescue & I might have fallen for her. I always wanted an Akita since I was in high school, specifically a female black & white one. As of right now there are no permanent plans to keep her, although I did register her with AKC’s PAL program to try to get some titles on her while we wait for her perfect home.
She meshes extremely well with the Shiba, as they helped bring her out of her shell & gain confidence as she was never properly socialized. She still has a lot of training to go, but she is going to make someone a lovely companion.
Her name comes from the pinto mare Rain in Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron.
